Bicornuate or bicornate uterus also called as "heart-shaped" uterus divided by septum or wall of tissue. It is a ype of uterine duplication anomaly and can be classified as a class IV Mullerian duct anomaly.
The paramesonephric ducts developed abnormally resulting to bicarbonuate uterus. The uterus is divided into two horns resulted from a partial failure of fusion of the ducts.
